Vocational Training and Education for Clean Energy

About

The "Vocational Training and Education on Clean Energy" (VOCTEC) program under the leadership of Arizona State University (ASU) is a 5 year global program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that aims to improve the sustainability of renewable energy infrastructure and investments in developing countries by increasing awareness, knowledge and capacity of local stakeholders to sustain renewable energy investments, primarily in decentralized clean energy technologies.


Team

VOCTEC has assembled a comprehensive management and implementation team from Arizona State University, Appalachian State University and Green Empowerment. The team members are internationally recognized experts in the fields of clean energy technology, operational and policy implementation, educational assessment and design, and gender-conscious programming.


Services

The program designs and delivers customized in-country multi-tier training and educational programs aimed at multiple levels, including short term training for skilled workers, longer term training for educators and engineers, and energy policy workshops aimed at community leaders and policy makers.
